After an early breakfast, leave Kampala heading northwest. Optional: Visit the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for a nature walk to see the rare rhinos in the wild. Lunch en-route. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, with a brief stop on the top of the falls, where you can see the Niles perfected beauty and marvel as it squeezes through a seven-meter canyon. The 43-meter drop of the falls creates a thunderous roar and a beautiful rainbow in the spray. Dinner and overnight.

Go for Chimpanzee Tracking in the Morning

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park after breakfast. Have a game drive en route arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. After lunch, enjoy the two-hour launch trip on the Kazinga Channel and see the amazing birdlife and a variety of wild animals. An evening drive to the crater lakes region is rewarding. Take an early morning cup of coffee before setting off for a game drive along the Kasenyi track and Queen’s mile in the park and expect to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and lots of animals and birds. Get back to the lodge for breakfast. After lunch, drive to Kyambura gorge for a forest walk in search of the habituated chimpanzees and other primates. The chimps are quite mobile and viewing them is unpredictable but the walk is a great adventure. This gorge is 16 km long on the Rift Valley and 100 meters deep. Dinner & overnight. Early breakfast and briefing from the guides before you set off for the mountain gorilla tracking in the Bwindi forest. You need to carry drinking water, packed lunch, a rain jacket, and jungle boots while the rangers will provide you with a walking stick. Gorilla tracking is enriching and rewarding as you walk through the thick rain-forest. Along the way you will see Ankole long-horned cattle, banana plantations, drum makers, papyrus swamps, roadside barbecue, and friendly people to bargain with, arriving on time for an evening flight back.
